Swissbit can refer to experience in the development and production of top quality memory products. Our own testing and quality control laboratories, accredited to ISO9001 and EN14001 standards and perfected manufacturing processes (SMT, CSP, Flip Chip, COB, Multichip Technology and multilayer COB) give us a technological head start and guarantee reliable memory solutions. In order to maintain a high quality standard, Swissbit produces exclusively in Switzerland and Germany. In 2004 Swissbit had a business volume of 140 million US-Dollars.

TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FUTURE
The product portfolio of Swissbit includes DRAM Memory Modules for desktops, notebooks, servers, blade servers and workstations – for PC as well as for Mac. Quality, reliability and compatibility are the main criteria by Swissbit for the Working Store line of products. The Swissbit produces in the heart of Europe and offers the latest in chip-on-board technology (COB), multilayer COB and high capacity SMT in-line production. For quality assurance the modules are only stacked with DRAM of renowned suppliers like Micron, Infineon, Samsung etc. in an ISO 9001 certified environment.
So Swissbit is again and again able to present innovative novelties, for example the worldwide first 1GB Micro DIMM for sub notebooks in August 2004. This development was enabled by the so-called chip-on-board and ”die-stacking” technology. The individual memory silicon chips, all originating exclusively from renowned manufacturers are positioned on top of each other on the PCB. The signal paths, however, all have the same length. The chips are furthermore directly attached to the PCB to enable an optimum heat dissipation via the PCB and a better circulation of the air, as well as an excellent signal quality.

Swissbit also designs, develops and produces for a number of our well-known suppliers from all over the world. Due to flexibility, the most modern techniques and high production capacity, Swissbit delivers quickly and at prices that are competitive with the rest of the market. Custom-made products and special demands are a part of Swissbit`s everyday work and are produced with the same expertise and proficiency as the standard products. In the Swissbit test and development laboratories, the custom-made products are created according to the customer’s needs and deadlines.
In order to have very short delivery delays, Swissbit employs an effective worldwide network of distributors. Within twelve to 24 hours the products reach the customer`s location – whether in Alaska or Australia. This adherence to delivery dates is taken as seriously as the technical precision.
SWISSBIT WORLDWIDE
Bronschhofen, Switzerland is the location of the head office and the biggest production facility of Swissbit. In May 2003, an affiliate in Berlin/Germany was added to the European organisation, increasing the overall production facilities and capacity within Swissbit.
Also in 2003, Swissbit expanded the business operations to North America by founding Swissbit NA Inc. with branches in Port Chester/New York and Austin/Texas. The latest addition to Swissbit is the in Tokyo located Swissbit Japan Inc., which was founded at the beginning of 2004. Swissbit also has commercial agents all over the world.
